So I stayed in and played...I finished the rest of the "Museum Chicks" postcards. Since my husband has not been feeling well (slept most of the day), and our son has been at a birthday party all afternoon, it was very quiet around the house. Hmmmm-crawl in bed to stay warm and toasty, or pay attention to the 5 ladies who wanted to be in/on my art...
These gorgeous, voluptuous goddesses won out over my bonding with a blankie...
Now finished, you can see larger photos of them on my other blog -
Julaine'sArt
Inkjet transparency images: I wanted the images to look like actual photos, so instead of burnishing the images onto fabric, I printed them on the transparencies (mirror image), then used Unique Stitch glue to adhere them to white cotton~

These are splendid, Julaine...love them to bits.
just as a related side note, you might want to check out this 5 minute interview with Mattisse's great granddaughter http://www.wnyc.org/studio360/show.html
she is known for taking classic paintings and removing the central figures...the one with (out) Mona Lisa is entitled "I'll be back in 5 minutes" :)
I like them.
I love these cards with the museum divas - great idea. Your work is very inpirational. Thanks for sharing.
